George L. Eckles, Jr., MD, joins the Gateway Wound Care Center® as Medical Director
Clarksville, Tenn. (December 9, 2014) – George L. Eckles, Jr., MD, has joined Healogics, Inc. as the Medical Director at the Gateway Wound Care Center®.
Dr. Eckles will lead a team of wound care specialists at the Center, which offers leading-edge treatments including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, negative pressure therapies, bioengineered tissues, and biosynthetics to reintroduce the body's innate ability to heal.
Dr. Eckles received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee. He completed his Internship and Residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals.
In joining the Gateway Wound Care Center®, a member of the Healogics™ network, Dr. Eckles will collaborate with a network of academic medical centers, hospitals and thousands of professionals committed to advancing wound healing by creating, sharing, and activating wound prevention and care expertise.
Dr. Eckles is a member of the Stones River/Rutherford Academy of Medicine, Tennessee Medical Association, American Medical Association, Southern Medical Association, Society of Laparoscopic Surgery, American Society for Lasers in Medicine & Surgery, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery – Tennessee Chapter, and the American College of Surgeons – Tennessee Chapter. He is board certified in surgery.
